Building Our Future — Kentwood Community Center
At a milestone groundbreaking ceremony, Mayor Stephen Kepley stepped into a vision for Kentwood’s future — the 73,000 sq ft Community Center slated to open in 2026. Nestled on 14 wooded acres next to City Hall, this two‑story space will offer:
- A fully‑equipped fitness center, gym with three high school basketball courts, indoor track, and locker rooms
- Multi‑generational amenities: child-watch, studio rooms, community event spaces, and a bistro/café
- Shared‑use features like the Great Hall and the “Little Free Pantry” to foster unity and service
These progress snapshots — from the groundbreaking shovels to the rising framework — spotlight a mayor and a city united in purpose: working to fulfill the desires of the residents resulting in a place for mental and physical health, celebrations, and where peoples from all nations can come together for generations to come.
Meeting Needs, Serving Neighbors — Mobile Food Pantry Launch
What began as hours of planning became a day of impact. With a joyful team of volunteers and a heart to serve, this initiative reflects the kind of leadership that rolls up its sleeves to make sure no one is left behind.
